The goal of this course is to measurably build on students’ English language skills by engaging them in listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar activities that are relevant to real-world encounters in the university and workplace environment. ESL level 7 focuses on refining fluency and critical thinking skills. The main goal of this course is to further develop and enhance the learners’ English language capabilities through a variety of high-level, student-centered activities while incorporating advanced level conversation exercises, academic essay writing lessons, and analytical reading skill activities into each class session. ESL 070 is designed as a 10-week course meeting Mondays through Thursdays for a total of 18 hours a week. Successful completion of this course will exemplify completion of the Stratford Language Institute’s Intensive English Program and upon course completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Prerequisite(s): ESL060, M-EPT score of 61-80.
