Course Title
Academic Reading and Writing

The goal of ESL062 is to allow students to acquire the skills needed to read, speak and write with U.S. Freshman College Level Mastery.   In this course, students will continue to master theirs skills of reading, evaluating, and discussing academic texts critically, practice note-taking and study techniques appropriate for success in a university classroom, and write papers in which they present and defend their ideas in an academic style.  ESL062 is designed as a 10-week course meeting Mondays through Thursdays for a total of 18 hours a week.  Although this course is not a requirement in order to earn a certificate of completion, it is highly recommended.

Prerequisite(s): ESL060, M-EPT score 61-80
