The goal of this course is to measurably build on students’ English language skills by engaging them in listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar activities that are relevant to real-world encounters in the university and workplace environment. This course is designed to aid students in building effective communication skills by refining their English accuracy and fluency. Students will also be introduced to more complex reading texts while building strong oral presentation skills. Students will move beyond writing at the paragraph level into creating longer compositions. ESL Level 4 is designed as a 10-week course meeting Mondays through Thursdays for a total of 18 hours a week. Successful completion of this course will transition students into ESL 050.

Prerequisite(s): ESL030, M-EPT score of 39-45
